hey there mother well its been a while since we talked so i dont know how long this is gonna be. ha but ya it was awesome to talk to the family it was just what i needed. but ya that really stinks i didnt get to talk with shawn and abby but ill be home before you know it. everything is just flying by. its already 2011 well almost. crazy.

ya as for the package i know that some elders have had stuff stolen from packages and looked through but ive been lucky so far and havent had that happen i know there are certain areas where its more likely to happen as well and i haveny served there but i dont know im good so far, haha

well my comp is good and i am liking it he is a pretty funny guy. i do think that i have been blessed with the quality of being able to get along easily with people though so i am thankful for that. but im having fun and its awesome speaking the language all the time. with him i can have pretty good conversations but other people its a little harder. he speaks slow and of course hes my comp so im way comfortable around him. i still am just naturally quieter around people i dont know but since the beginning of my mission ive been getting better. knowing more about the language also helps me with that a lot. so i would say its good but i guess im fluent in certain situations you could say. like at church yes im fluent but not so much just talking about randomthings. you really have to realize that everything you do there is a completely new vocab list for. like tools and working and politics i dont have a clue except the basics. its a whole new language it was said best by my mtc teacher the more you learn the more you realize how much you dont know. its true but i like the language a lot and im having a fun time.

well this week for missionary work was pretty dead. the whole mission kind of died. its natural and happens every Christmas. our investigator serifo went on vacation so we havent talked with him in a while and people in the street before christmas were busy and didnt really want to talk and after its already a little better but once we get in january is when it will get back to normal. yesterday we were knocking doors and we talked to several ladies and one of them in particular was super nice. her name is sonia and she talked with us for a while and we pretty much taught her a lesson and we prayed with her in the door and she accepted the invite to come to church so we will see how that goes. its just fun when a person actually just lets you talk they realize that we are not so bad and they feel our love for them and the love the savior has for them. you can see it in their eyes and every time that happens i get a boost of energy and happiness that helps carry me from door to door day to day. the mission is amazing and i love it. i still havent personally had a baptism but it doesnt even bother me if i never do because i feel like im helping these people one at a time come closer to christ which is our job.

the other day walking back from talking to you guys actually we crossed the street and missed our bus so we started walking and we passed a lady and i said good evening and feliz natal. and she said well merry christmas for you guys but mine was bad. so almost automatically i reached in my pocket and grabbed a candy cane you sent me and gave it to her and said hers a gift for you from america. she laughed and we started talking and ended up sharing a little about the gospel with her and getting to know her. i think we helped her bad christmas get a little better and it made me that much happier. just little things like that is what has made my mission so awesome for me. anyways ya i kind of went off there but i hope you guys had a great time at christmas and i sure hope my package is all good.
